A Mentmore 46 winging it's way from England but which I won't get until after Christmas. A Waterman Stalwart - a pen I didn't mean to win but did.

Actually, I just got it! Hoo hoo!!!! :cloud9:

A Parker 51, Burgundy Aerometric, made in the UK, gold filled cap, from around 1955...

Why, I wonder, don't British P51s carry that very useful date code that their US counterparts have? :hmm1:

I think its a Mk I, due to the black cap on the Aerometric filler... Any thoughts?

Huashilai in amber, Parker homage of unknown model very similar to the Kaigelu which gets me thinking they are the same manufacturer.

you're right about Mk 1 1955. my canadian 51 has a 55 (took ages to read it, it's almost gone) date code and is a Mk 1.

This will be my second glass pen. I'm always worried about breaking it, so I'm finally investing in a second one as a back-up. I do love writing with a glass pen. It works especially well with my homemade black walnut and iron gall inks.

eta: the Goulet's have the best video for writing with the J. Herbin glass pen. Highly recommended!

A vsconti homo sapiens M is on it's way to me from italianpens...wish I had read a little more about that whole situation before I bought it though...fingers crossed it will all work out though, I'm due some good luck.

Hope it arrives soon though I have to have surgery on my right shoulder (again) in January and it means I won't be writing much for a few weeks at least. I may well loose what's left of my sleep deprived, opiate addled mind if it arrives after the slice and dice and all I can do is stare at it for 6 straight weeks.

WTB: the following GvF-C classic FPs (pref. B or OB nib) or rollerballs: platinum plated, gold plated, solid sterling silver, ebony anello and gold anello, PM me!

(also interested in most other GvF-C products in general, i.e any writing tools, leather goods, advertising/packaging)

  • A misaddressed Orange Lamy Safari coming from Germany to an old address where I lived (luckily the current resident has contacted me from the note I dropped through the door so lets hope I manage to get hold of it)
  • A restored Salz Brothers with a flex nib
  • 3x Parker 21's from a bulk eBay auction - should have some fun paying around with them, practice some basic "restoring"

Hopefully should turn up sometime in the next week.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm new here so far I really like the forum and found amazing informations.

I'm waiting for in the mail :

montblanc 146 14k nib (80s)

parker vacumatic green marble (30s) all serviced

jinhao x750

this will be added to my short collection of :

montblanc 145

dupont replica orpheo (always with me)

noodler's flex nib (use it to write my schematics since I finally found a proper adjustment and ink to use it)

Old sheaffer no-nonsens

montblanc starwalker fine liner (really like using fine liner for note taking)

some other replica rollerball that I bring at work not minding if It get lost or stollen.

Will be shopping for a 149 size pen next. I really liked the pelikan m1000 at the store but couldn't compare to large saillor or montblanc.

I would also like to find a very good vintage flex pen like a waterman and will get some spares noodler's flex while they are available.
