What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Thankfully I'm not waiting for any pens at the moment. All new babies have been received in good order. It's always a relief when they're in my hands, ready and able to be inked and enjoyed, even though I have no horror stories to tell about postal services disasters.

I can't believe it! I'm not waiting for pens! Is my buying spree at an end?

Maybe I'll celebrate by buying something nice: a pen maybe.

Oh, wait...

Scrawler, and others, Re Royal Mail I gather that packets, etc are opened frequently, and contents go missing. I have had 2 more pens delivered since the Dunhill went missing, but I contacted both sellers(ebay) asked them to pack the pens securely, and "disguise" them by placing inside such as an empty toilet roll holder, and even placing bubble wrap or whatever inside and around the pen to prevent it rattling and moving.

The most important thing though was me asking the sellers to upgrade the postage to Royal Mail Special Delivery, adding another £3+ to postage, and still had to be signed for. Both arrived. Some packages I have received had been sealed with brown sellotape all round, and it took me 2-3 minutes to open them even with a knife. So bear that in mind.

Oh, and was waiting for a Waterman Hemisphere, blue/black marble effect, and that arrived OK today.

At this point i am probably done. I have more than enough. Unless one or two of them poop out - i have no further need for anymore FP's. I only have 2 hands and I only write right-handed, so... not like an octopus or people that smoke 5 cigarettes at the same time for folly.

You're clearly in denial about being "done" if you're still reading and posting in this forum. Better get checked out for FP addiction.

I've got a Hero 616 going my way. Wondering about the quality and how it writes but I have to say I mostly bought it for its looks. At a cost of 88ct I think that might be the most important reason (if it doesn't write well I can at least look at it :)).

A Fujisan-Hill the barrel and cap made of walnut

I'm not familiar with this pen but it sounds grand! I hope you will post a picture of it when you get it, or else give us a link to where we can look at it.

It arrived! My blue marble Sailor 1911 came back and it works beautifully!

Total bill $45, included shipping to and from Japan -- California and then to Virginia. They replaced the feed and general reconditioning. My ship date was September 19, and back to my house November 2nd, so around 45 days, 45 bucks. I think that's pretty amazing -- kudos to Itoya. :clap1: (They even sent back the old feed, like my car dealer used to give me the replaced parts.)

Noodler Flexi in red (after trying my daughter's the Panther Pink) and...

Rotring Initial - I have to test the air pressure compensation system. I plan to use a mason jar or something similar, and pull a partial vacuum over the pen to simulate different altitudes. Should be pretty interesting.

I am waiting for two pens:

A Stipula Passaporto in a white and blue resin (a limited edition according to Speerbob) with a stub nib and an

Omas Israel 50th Jubilee (pre-LVMH, circa 1998).

Do I have some Italian fun ahead or what?

1) A Sigum piston-filler with silver cap and blue-yellow barrel...with a Pendleton CI nib! It should be arriving next week...can't wait.

2) An Omas 360 piston-filler in blue-gray...no ideas on when it's arriving.

3) An Omas Milord piston-fiiler in blue. Just placed the order.

Looks like an Italian Novmeber for me.
