A 1745 from JJBlanche

A vintage Wearever I traded some ink and a BP pen for.

A Wearever from E-Bay. The nib caught my eye and I think I can clean it up pretty good.

Pen?

Try penSSSS.

One of the Estie forum restorers was going to do some work for me.

I'd bought a nice streaky patterned blue Estie J transitional on The Bay along with a NOS

2048 Flex Fine nib (that I wanted him to run through the ultrasonic cleaner and smooth

out for me) and I had both different Ebay sellers ship them straight to him.

I sent him a pretty clean silver Estie dollar pen to restore and an already restored light

silver Estie SJ that I had managed to misalign the J-bar on to straghten that out.

They all 3 (plus the extra, hard to find nib) left North Ca. two Saturdays ago. Now,

ok, even if I drop the day they were mailed (Sat) and Vets Day (the next Tuesday) today

is the 6th delivery day with no pens from the PO.

If they don't come in tomorrow, todays ulcer symptoms will probably blossum into

a full blown bleeding one...

(There's also a green Estie J coming with a nice 9788 Flex Medium nib, and I sure hope

*that one* gets here too but, that one big package is starting to make me really worry

right now...)

3 pens on the way back from the estimable Richard Binder: Pelikan M600, reground to EF nib, Pelikan Citroenpers M200, reground to EF nib and Waterman Carene, reground to EF nib.

Also, on the way are a MB Jules Verne F nib and a MB Fitzgerald with a trashed nib that will boomerang either to Mr. Binder or Mr. Minuskin.

Joel

Please don't encourage me to obtain any more pens. :)

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of an Esterbrook "SJ" in pearlescent Gray that I won on eBay yesterday for $12, including shipping. The pen was advertised as being functional and the pictures show it to be in good shape. Woohoo, my Estie collection continues to grow. Now all I have to do is hope it comes on a day when my wife is not at home to get the mail. ;)

I have a moratorium on pen-buying but live vicariously through fellow FPNers.

Love the color of that Wearever from ebay! In the picture, the nib looks like---plastic.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Today's the day I'm supposed to be getting my Pelikan M1000.... will it arrive....? Can't bear the suspense.... Ink bottles standing ready....

Don't know whether I can use Noodlers (non-bulletproof) Midnight Blue in it as from other post's I read that Noodlers is bad for damaging Pelikans. Is it just the bulletproof....? Are they just anecdotal reports...?
