I'm no longer waiting for the Parker 21 Magnetix double desk set I purchased from the auction site; it arrived yesterday afternoon.

This pen was on my wishlist for a while, maybe more than a year. A couple of recent threads and a good price on ebay finally made me pull the trigger. But it'll probably take a few weeks for the shipping until I see the Pelikan M215!

 

In the meantime, I should play around with my first bottle of Aurora ink, which arrived today...

Waiting on my first ever fountain pen, a TWSBI. Since I've never even used a fountain pen before, I really don't know what to expect. But I feel like this could be the start of a new hobby.

About two weeks ago, I sent off a vintage Montblanc (hopefully 1938-1940ish) for identification and refurbishment. Looking forward to that returning. About a week ago I ordered a Nakaya portable writer kuro-tamenuri. About an hour ago, I ordered both a Parker 51 and a MB 149 from Fountain Pen Hospital, and a Pelikan M1000 from The Writing Desk. Goodness knows which of these 5 will turn up first but I suspect the Pelikan, followed by the Parker and MB 149, followed by Nakaya. Very nervous about the vintage MB but, if legit, that would bring the biggest joy to me of all these recent (and last for 2011) purchases.

It was supposed to be here Saturday but only made it as far as Kansas City. I think the snow must have slowed things down.
