What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

a package of winedoc's economical Danitrio pens. I'm hoping our mail carrier hasn't messed up... again. Seems a lot of my mail is being placed in other folks' boxes, and I'm rapidly losing the Christmas spirit with a couple of them who think they can keep what the USPS misdelivered.

Scribere est agere.

To write is to act.

A while back I sent off four (!) Parker 51s -- a couple of vacumatics and a couple of aerometrics -- for restoration. They are winding their way back to me through the mail system now, caught up somewhere in the holiday shipping crunch. I reckon they'll turn up sometime next week.

I'm left here with only a solitary "51" in my hands: a gray demi. And it's a great writer (of course!), but man. . . Waiting is rough. Especially since both of those vac 51s are part of nicely preserved pen-and-pencil sets.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Waiting for a black Parker Duofold Millennium with a medium nib. I sent it in for a nib replacement. The original nib was a medium italic which was simply too broad for my tastes. Here's hoping......
