I'm waiting for a Senator President with gold nib! Got it on ebay.... the bid ended at exactly the maximum price that I was ready to pay! Just one cent more, and I would have lost the pen! :(

It should arrive the day after tomorrow thanks to the efficiency of the Royal Mail! I LOVE the Royal Mail! :D

Nice catch, I was also watching that auction but my snipe did not even fire! Do let us know how the nib performs, it had a different engraving pattern than the other gold nibs that I had seen on the presidents.

Regards,

Hari

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

Ok, I'll let you know how it writes! :) I was literally fashinated by the pattern of that nib! I wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't that nib! Looks somehow "art nouveau" :D I will let you know hopefully tomorrow, as it should have been sent today... I'm really, really eager to try it! (especially because of its price, which, I have to admit, ended up being a little bit to high for a promotional pen!! But I loved that nib tooooooooooooooo much!)

Tom Pike is an excellent person - top of the list of excellence in fact!

Today I'm waiting for two Omas pens, old style Paragons in Scarlet and Saft Green celluloid - and another Omas, a 556/f from Italy. Also waiting for a large clear acrylic demo ED from AllWriteNow - and when it has been made, engraved etc. a Herald Grande ED from Brian Gray at Edison Pens. That one is made of translucent tortoiseshell celluloid and will have a broad cursive italic nib.

Please shoo me if you see me lurking on any more sales boards!!! :bunny01: :yikes: :bonk:

Thanks, Chris! You are very kind. Go ahead and buy all the pens you'd like. :D

I am too ashamed to list the pens I'm waiting for.........but can report that the two Paragons landed and are just amazing, as is the 556/f from Italy, and a Buffetti Omas from the same place............oh heck! I might as well 'fess up - now I'm waiting for a MINT in box with all papers etc. Omas Amerigo Vespucci - from the same lovely seller as the Omas Buffetti. Oh, and when Bryant returns my Visconti HS it will have a red Wall St. LE with it - both have had nose jobs by Mike Masayuma............and the Edison Hersld Grande should be flying this week too! I need a bigger landing strip here!!!! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

Just received my Visconti HS with EF nib. All I can say is...WOW!!!

Writes awesome, none of the excessive bleeding that I have with my Visconti Opera (which has a M nib and is also not a Palladium nib).

I don't know if it's the Palladium nib, or the nib being EF, or that I'm using Montblanc Black-Blue ink, but...WOW!

I'm totally in love with the pen.

It sits really well in my hand and it writes beautifully.

Only thing is, I dunk it too low into the inkpot, so a portion of the pen (half of the portion you put your writing fingers on) is permanently "stained". But it's ok, I'll live with it.

1960s Parker 45, F nib, boxed. If I don't like it, I plan to blame all you 45 lovers on here who sold me on the idea!

Edited to add - the pen arrived this morning and I love it!

A Soennecken, from late '30's......that some expert, told me it was a Frankenstein.....more than likely why I got it so cheap. 'the cap is '30's, but from whom?

Will, look, and make decisions....should I send it back. I don't have a Soennecken, perhaps the nib will make up for it.

If not...

I'll return it.

I'm glad that the expert took the air out of my balloon early; that way I won't have a temper tantrum.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I went ahead and caved---bought some inexpensive Stypens for ink testers and giveaways.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.
