Forgot I had other orders in:

1. A Lamy Safari Matt Black EF from Printhardcopy (https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/148404-brand-new-lamy-safari-for-sales-6-colours-us30-each-with-free-shipping/page__p__1496729__fromsearch__1entry1496729).

2. A Visconti Opera fountain pen in Black with M Nib from Prahableu.

3. A Vintage Esterbrook Transitional J Fountain Pen in Black with a new sac and a new 2048 nib. Sounds like this one is going to be tiny as it's 4 3/4 inches with cap on.

Been waiting for a Waterman Phileas for a number of weeks now. Tracking says it has reached the US already, but it appears it may be stuck in customs or something since it's been in the same place for awhile now. :glare:

Just ordered:

- Lamy Al-Star Ocean Blue F nib;

- Lamy Safari black 1.1i nib;

- Lamy Safari white M nib;

- Noodlers Eternal Black;

- Diamine Classic Red;

- Private Reserve American Blue.

More than two weeks gone by after dispatch from The Writing Desk, no sign of delivery to Riga, Latvia. Now I am worried and angry.

In int'l orders of above a certain value all retailers should use Royal Mail International Signed For; if the items do not arrive it will be extremely frustrating.

Nobody wants to work hard in expat-land so that any thief in any post office (outside the UK) decides to seize another persons package.

Very disappointing so far.

Waiting for this. Almost three weeks but I've waited longer to have cameras delivered from Russia or the Ukraine. Couldn't resist. It seems to be a Parker '51' copy piston filler or simiilar. There's a golden coloured fish at the end of the barrel. Bought on a complete whim!

The Writing Desk is normally exceptionally reliable. Did you ask for (and pay for) International Signed For?

Just won a vintage Eversharp Skyline from a private seller on ebay. Woo hoo. I can't wait to get it. Also, have bids on two, vintage Parker 51's.

phentrek, very cool. Did you get a Vacumatic or the one that came right after, the Aerometric?

phentrek, I know you're going to love it. The Aeromatic's were the next models after the Vacumatic and was actually slightly better than the previous model. The chamber was slightly different and, without going into technical stuff, the Aeromatic was created to withstand cabin pressure on an airplane. That's right, don't take that vacumatic on a plane with you. There's a strong possibility that it may explode. The Aeromatic, as I understand it, doesn't have this same problem. Hopefully, someone with more technical knowledge of the Parker 51 series can elaborate more on the differences.

rincon, sounds like it was a steal unless you get it in less than standard condition and have to send it off to have repairs. Or, do you have it already? If so, I'd love to hear more about it. They're pretty rare pens and hard to find on ebay.
