What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

I breathlessly await the arrival of 2 pens; a Martini Blue Sky and a Francois-Yves Luthier Modigliani 2. I am most eager to get the Blue Sky (wih a stub nib). It is from a limited edition of 100 piston-fillers commissioned in 2005 from Bexley by Regina Martini. The Luthier M2 is a c/c pen issued from an edition of 2300 produced in 1998.

I didn't buy these for their furniture, but both have interesting clips. The Martini is done in 6K gold; the Luthier has a palladium plated bronze clip, made by Michel Audiard, inspired by Modigliani.

Photos of both are posted on Bernard Bernolet's website, BBWeb 2.0, which I highly recommend for a wealth of information on limited edition pens.

Two vintage: a carmine Sheaffer Balance Jr., from the tune-up shop, and my dream pen, a Pelikan 400 tortoise, about three times as expensive as any of my previous purchases. Then I'll have six pens altogether, so I'll probably sell a couple, since no one needs more than a couple pens on the desk and a couple pens on one's person. Right? And I won't need to buy any more pens this year.

We'll see.

I am waiting for my second Waterman Laureat. It is a red marbled pen with a medium nib. I really like the look and feel of the Laureats. I am also waiting for a Pilot 78g.

A Lamy Persona in Makrolon/Palladium. My first broad nib too so I'm looking forward to practising my flourish, ready for signing greetings cards!

Since we're enduring multi blizzards here in the Mid-Atlantic US, I have been busy online.

Waiting for a Cross Solo, Jinhao X750, and an Aurora Style.

I've wanted an Aurora for a long time and finally broke down and and ordered one last night.

I'm waiting for a '50s aerometric Duofold, planning to collect at least one of each era. Got an old button filler and a modern one. It was my first e bay auction purchase I 'won' it a week ago. Still waiting...

Cordialement.

A red/black 2009 Bexley Owners club. I hope to get the 2010 in the spring.

A Conway Stewart 388, blue marble, writing nicely with an expressive nib, from Blighty, with faith in the Royal Mail. And a vintage derelict Conklin Glider, brown and gold pearl, lever fill, to restore.

A grail from John Mottishaw that UPS delayed due to "adverse weather conditions"--obviously the warmest, sunny day in the past week--with no update as to when they might attempt a delivery, as it is now snowing again.Sorry had to rant, but it involves a good chunk of urushi...
