What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Well when I replied last month, it was a MB Christie and Schiller. Those have vanished. Now I have a Delta Dolce Vita piston filler coming next week. I am very confident that one will get here.

I'm waiting on a Wing Sung 230 (backup for the one I carry to work every day) and a Wing Sung 233 (red, with ink window) from isellpens.com -- fifteen bucks including shipping, and I already know the 230 is capable of being a superb writer (because the one I have is one).

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

The new black Pelikan M205, M nib. Despite the inferior esthetics, I chose this over the M215. The feather-weight of the M205 won me over.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

Just received two Uni KURI TOGA pencils with the rotating chuck in 0.3mm and 0.5mm.

Can not see the advantage. Rotation is to always keep the lead point pointy. Tried both printing and script. Would probably make more sense with 1.1mm lead.

Also, they have the disadvantage of not being lead feeders. It is one lead at a time like a draftsman's lead holder.

YMMV

Received a Sailor m 1911 mid size with zoom nib. I don't like the line the nib lays down holding it in the "usual" manner (much too broad) but held up-side down the line it lays seems to border on xxfine and that I like.

Just ordered a Kameco DAI from Todd in silver with a fine nib. I used to be partial to Broad/Stub but now am definately a Fine nib person.

I am anticipating quite a bounty: A Loiminchay Mini Qian Long (red & black), a red marbly Giacomazzi (a minor Italian piston-filler)and an Underwood Picadilly Eco. Each day I run to the mailbox, eager to retrieve my newest treasures but, so far, just bills and junk mail.

This one is coming home - not a new pen - but it has a story..........what a story! When it lands I'll tell all about it!

Enjoy!

This week I'll be tortured in waiting for a P51 Vac and two Imperials, one probably 1995, one probably early Imperial I (the one with inset nib and plastic touchdown).

Ciao

Pelikan M215, medium nib, black cap/blue-lined barrel, from Richard Binder. I had ordered the M205 in the new black, but changed my mind. No matter — whichever pen I bought this time, I'm sure I would have added the other pen later.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

I'm waiting for an Inkograph that I grabbed on eBay for $3, including shipping. Worst case, I'm out three bucks, but I'm betting it just needs a new sac to be a nice writer -- and if I find I don't like the tiny tube (last one I had, almost thirty years ago, I had no idea and it was a drafting, rather than writing pen), I can probably send it on for what I have in it...
