Choose the ink for my Lamy 2000's first fill

I have a Lamy 2000 fine coming from www.isellpens.com. It should arrive this week. The inks above are the inks I own, with the exception of Lamy Blue, but I can easily purchase a bottle at Sam Flax. So, choose which of these inks should be my Lamy's first fill. It's in your hands. No pressure.

 

If you have any experiences with these inks in a Lamy 2000, please share.

I'm keeping a close eye on the FedEx tracking info. I'm trying to mentally will their vehicles to move faster.

 

I had a few inks in mind for the first fill, but decided it might be fun to have the FPN rabble make the decision.

 

Gotta put Baystate Blue on the list

 

BSB is definitely an ink I want to try, but I wanted to hold this list to inks I could have on hand by the time the pen arrived. Lamy inks are the only inks available close by that I'm aware of.

With a Lamy 2K Lamy blue should look like a medium dark true blue (no green, no violet). Not at all faded out as it may look with some nibs with poor ink flow.

 

I have three pens that are perfect for Lamy blue: a Lamy 2K, a Pelikan M 400 and a Parker 51. All of them with a pretty wet medium nib.

 

Lamy 2K might work well with Pelikan blueblack too. It might even look blueBLACK, if your Lamy 2K has a real wet nib. I have not filled in into my 2K because I have a very wet Parker 51 that is filled exclusively with Pelikan blueblack.

 

PR and Noodlers are very saturated inks and may look extremely intense. I had this experience with Noodlers blue and Ottoman Azzure with wet writers. For me they were to outstanding so I am looking for another pen that gives a more decent line with the Noodlers inks.

I love Aurora Blue, but I chose "My Blue" because you made it, you must like it, and that would celebrate your new pen.

Man, I hope that after waiting through the "temporary out of sold" weeks, and now the fedex ground updates, that when it finally gets to you it won't have any factory defects...

Thanks. I had the same thought. What will probably happen is it will fall out of my pocket without me knowing and I'll run over it with my car

Hooray! The pen has arrived and based on the poll results has been filled with DC Supershow Blue. It's a great pen and a great ink. I'm a happy camper.
