Pilot Iroshizuku Inks

Oh, so you mean some of the inks are of flora? If the inks are scented with the aroma from the flora, that would seem, well, wonderful! I don't know how you would smell an azure sky or moonlight...One can only imagine that.

When I see these ink bottles, I don't know why, but they remind me of fine perfume...What do you think?

:)

The bottles and the box they come are very reminiscent of perfume bottles but the ink is not scented, just the colour is inspired by nature. I have a bottle of kon-peki and it smells like ink.

Where did you purchase the ink? I placed an order with Ujuku and the ETA was late March...

I got mine from Ujuku. When I ordered it I was told it would be sent at the end of March but it was shipped a few days later on the 8th of March. I guess I got lucky or maybe they haven't got all the colours yet.

The problem is that these inks are so popular. Retailers get stock and almost immediately are sold out - they are literally waiting for each batch from the Pilot factory.

Just curious about others...

I ordered this ink on march 10. They mentioned it should be in april that they would send it. Since I heard that some started receiving them, I sent them an e-mail to the address linked to the paypal account.

It bounced back (Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table.)

Anybody got the same problem? Any more info would be appreciated.

Thanks?

The Ujuku Shop have been having email issues - try posting a message on their forum. If they said they will mail it, they will. I have made many orders with them over the years! :)

I waited almost three months for my bottles - the back-order list from the Pilot factory was that long. There has been a huge demand for these inks, and you may just have to wait a little longer that normal.

Thanks, good to know somebody did good business with them. I'll wait a little longer!

Very nice!

The first pen, the pelikan, exactly what model is that?

It's not the 205 and we've been discussing a similar pen in another forum.

Thanks.

PM me if you don't want this thread to get out of hand!

Got my glass brick... I mean ink today!

Well worth the wait! Now I just need to empty a few pens to try it out!

Also, through the pictures, I did not realize there was a small dent\groove\hole in the bottom to help with less ink...

I got samples of iroshizuku inks, and they are very lovely....I meant to decide on just one color to get, but now I want them all :crybaby:

I found a Japanese blog with side-by-side comparison photos to many other blue inks (Parker Blue, Pelikan Royal Blue, Waterman Florida Blue, Aurora Blue, Caran d'Ache Blue Sky, many of PR Blues, etc.).

EDIT to add: Iroshizuku inks names on the samples are in Japanese. From the top, Tsuki-yo, Kon-peki, Tsuyu-kusa, Ajisai, and Asa-gao.

FYI: Ujuku pen shop now has several of these inks on eBay with a "Buy-It-Now" price of $15.42, although shipping from Japan may rival the purchase price. If anyone is looking for these beautiful (not available in the US afaik) inks, this looks like a deal.
