You're welcome. I already had most of the addresses in a spreadsheet for my own reference. I saw greencobra's post about an address for Delta, and rather than respond to his post, I just compiled all the addresses in one list. This way the information isn't fragmented when people need contact information for Italian pen manufacturers/distributors. I'd encourage others to please contribute with additional or updated information.

 

Also, no offense to anyone, but please do not contact me directly about service on your Italian pens. (This is not directed at your PM from this morning, GP -- to which I've already responded.) I'm not singling anyone out, but I've received a PM already about an Omas pen repair. I dare to dream, but I'm not Omas and I cannot respond to your questions about repairs. Please contact the manufacturer/distributor directly. Thanks.

The correct Company's name of Stipula is no longer Stipula Firenze: now it's Etruria srl.

Address and phone are ok

Hi guys

 

Hey just a quick remark about Stipula.

 

I used their service like three months ago, they have a US based facility where you can send your Stipula and then they will a) repair there b ) take care of the shipping-imports-exports etc things needed.

 

Very useful and Claire Kolb is really such a very very nice lady.

 

Well of course I think you have to send an e-mail to Claire Kolb and then send the pen, any way just to be aware about this option.

I just discovered the address for Stipula returns changed so I am passing it along. Hopefully my pen is not lost but it could be as a result. I got the address from the Worldlux web site which is incorrect. I sent Stipula an email but it was over the weekend and an Italian holiday so the response took a while and I had few opportunities to get to the post office. Here's what I was told by Stipula WRT returns/repairs. It was totally my mistake, but Daniela has been wonderful to converse with and patient. She is fluent in English and very responsive. Daniela said the company name changed a while ago and the post office no longer delivers to that name. Don't make the same mistake I did. I wish their website would be more informative on this, but I couldn't find these directions anywhere.

 

Dear Sirs,

 

Thank you for contacting us!

Please if you are sending the pen from USA please follow the herebelow instructions.

Please do not send it directly as we will not accept any parcel charged for high Customs fees.

 

We would be happy to get your pen repaired and back in working order…. our technician will be able to revise it and check over the problem accordingly.

 

Please package the pen (send just the pen not the box!) with some bubble wrap to Stipula Repair Service at the following address:

Well it's been over a month and the pen hasn't turned up there or here. It is gone/lost. Don't make the same mistake I did! It was not insured as it would've been around $60! DANGIT!

UPDATE!

 

My faith in humanity has been restored. The pen came back from Italy "return to sender". Never opened. Undamaged. Wow! Not sure when I'll be able to let it out of my sight again. ;-) Stipula's Daniela was very responsive and put up with my anxiety and inquiries.

As of January 1st 2009, Stipula no longer have a repair facility in the US. Here are the instructions I was given via email:

 

"Dear David,

 

Thank you for contacting us! We will be happy to take care of your pen, making sure it comes back to you in working condition.

 

Please send it to us without the packaging, complete with its warranty certificate stamped by an authorized retailer to the address below:

When sending overseas, in order to avoid custom delays and fees, we ask that you carefully follow the instructions below:

 

1) Complete the proforma that you will find attached to this email with your complete name and address, including phone number.

 

2) Print 6 copies of this form and give it to the shipping provider. It must accompany the shipment.

 

3) Attention!: the total value of the pen listed on the proforma and that you declare on the airway bill MUST NOT exceed $3. This is to avoid your having to pay costly custom fees.

 

4) Make sure to indicate on the airway bill that the payment for the shipment and of custom fees is at the expense of the sender.

 

Please include your complete contact information (telephone number and email address are MANDATORY) inside the package as well as a note describing the pen’s problem. (We recommend you print your email to us and include it).

 

The pen will be returned directly to you via UPS in 4-6 weeks from the date that we receive it at our factory.

 

Please be advised that repairs of Stipula pens will have a cost if:

 

· The damage to the pen or nib is determined to be the result of misuse, or the damage to the pen is not directly related to manufacturing defects.

· The pen is NOT accompanied by its original stamped and dated warranty certificate

· The pen was purchased more than two years ago. (This does not apply to limited edition pens that have been registered, extending their warranty to a lifetime guarantee.)

 

You will receive an email confirmation upon receipt of your pen along with a detailed cost estimate.

Wow, this is the first I've heard of Stipula wanting a stamped and dated warranty certificate. Only the ones I'd purchased from pens.it have ever come with them.

I contacted Visconti the other day to find out about a nib exchange, and the Gmail address given on the first page of this topic got bounced back to me. I ended up going back and forth with Steve Weill at steve [at] viscontiusa [dot] com. It's not too hard to find on their website, but I thought it would be nice to update here as well.
