Aurora Black

Blade Runner

Recommended Posts

Aurora black has been my black ink for many years now. Completely untemperamental in all brands of pens that I own, very black, and lasts a long time. Wish the bottle was designed more for filling and less for effect. I write on cheap legal pads constantly and I get no feathering and no bleed through.

I had a bottle of Aurora Black but then I started using Herbin Perle Noire and Sailor Kiwaguro Black because I wanted something more waterproof. I did however gift it to my sister for use in her new Pilot Capless knowing that it would flow well and tempt her into using bottled ink. I don't think she has tried it yet but I'm confident she'll like it. (Other than that all she has is some Pilot Blue cartridges.)

Takes on all comers with a Reaganesque shrug of the shoulders: "There you go again."

Uh...not sure what this means...is it an American thing? (I live in UK)

Does that mean it doesn't have any idea of what's going on? :roflmho:

Reagan used to say that when reporters asked him questions he didn't want to answer.. I'm not sure what it means in this context, though...

Anyway, back on topic; I just discovered this ink, and it's great! I didn't think that there was that much of a difference in black between my usual Pelikan and another black ink, but this one really is a lot darker. Plus, it flows better. I haven't tried it on my pens that already flow well, so I don't know if it overflows or not, but I really like it so far. Only problem is that it costs twice as much per mL than Pelikan black...
