No Oblique Fine Offered, Huh

After a few days of writing with the OM on my new 149 I'm finding it a bit too broad. Contacting MB service I learned that although a OF was offered at some time in the past it is no more. Darn....I love this thing and I hate it when I have to send a new pen off...especially for what might be months of hiding at the nibmeister.

 

Who do you recommend for a regrind to OF that won't take months to complete?

I'd recommend Greg Minuskin...he's turned around a few of my nibs in 8-10 days. Once in 6 days. We both mentioned him in your other MB149 posting. Haven't sent anything, or really needed to send him anything in quite a while though. www.nibretipping.com

Yes, Richard's waiting line was up to 17-weeks the last I heard. Greg Minuskin would probably be my first choice, too. But remember that Deb Kinney has an excellent reputation, too. I think both Greg and Deb have a waiting period of about 4-weeks, maybe less.

 

The least expensive option I have found is Pendemonium. I have had two pens done there and the technicians they contract with did an excellent job. I will not hesitate to send more pens to them. Their wait was under 3-weeks, but that was months ago. I still do not think you would have more than 4-weeks there either.
