PILOT (NAMIKI) NIB CODE ?

From http://www.pilot.co.jp and with the help of altavista automatic translation I got this list of nib codes for Pilot pens:

 

 

EF = Extra fine (I assume)

F = Fine (I have)

SF = Does this mean soft fine?

FM = I guess between fine and medium

SFM = Probably soft FM

M = Medium

SM = Probably soft medium

B = Broad

BB = extra broad

C = ?

PO = Carbon copy ?

FA = Super fine flexible ?

WA = ?

SU = Stub

 

Also I have seen an MS which is a music nib (see below). Any others that you understand what they mean?

C - is a verybroad (broader than BB)

i found this from a site (unfortunately, i don't anymore remember which one). i just made a copy to use as my reference on Japanese nibs. hope this helps.

WA is similar to Sheaffer Triumph nibs. I'm not sure about the origin of the word, but I've also seen it spelled "Waverly". I believe C is "Coarse", a very broad nib. PO stands for POsting and FA is FAlcon. I think the translation on the photo was done by machine.
