Repair Place in San Diego, CA

Recommended Posts

I have a collection of fountain pens that I love. I don't wish to send them to the Fountain Pen Hospital in New York. I prefer to take them to a local fountain pen repair here in San Diego, California. Does anyone have a source or referral?

Thanks,

Gaye

Hi Gaye,

I can highly recommend Ron Meloche. He does excellent work on a wide variety of pens, and is in Lakeside (about 20 minutes East of SD.)

He's worked on many of my pens, and I have been 100% happy.

Here is Ron's contact info:

Best regards, greg

Welcome to FPN, from a fellow San Diegan.

Yes, Ron Meloche is the one.

Don

These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value.--Thomas Paine, "The American Crisis", 1776

I know Ron personally - visited his operation, and can verify that he's a honest, respected and capable restorer in the SD area. No connection, no reservations.

Regards,

Gerry

Thanks for the recommendation guys. I just spoke to Ron, and I'm taking my Meisterstück No. 146 to him this week. Very excited to get the ole gal writing again!
