I think Pelikan makes their own also.

No,they started to use bock nibs in 2000. Conway Stewart and perhaps Yard O Led are making their inhouse nibs.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

No, CS use Bocks as well. I don't know about YOL. Best,

Pelikan does make their own nibs. Yafa makes Nettuno and Delta pens, so it would make sense for all Yafa products to use these nibs (Schmidt/Bock). I have a Retro 51 Tornado FP that uses a Schmidt Medium. It is a very nice writer and daily user! It is also a quality pen for the price!

Being a Pelikan fan,I am happy to say that they produce their own nibs in "Pelikan Produktionsgesellschaft, Pelikanstr 11,Peine/Vöhrum"-their nib production company, near Hannover.

I received this information from Pelikan Consumer service.

Best regards,

Stiloul Negru

Well, that's really interesting - I wonder when Pelikan took back nib manufacture in-house? I've read so many times that Pelikan nibs were by Bock, since around 2000. If they now make their own again, I wonder when this started ... has anybody noticed a discernible difference recently, and with which lines?

Hi,

Pelikan took their production in-house about a year ago. :)

Cross still does make their own nibs. With the exception of the Townsend (Pelikan) and the Verve (Pilot)

Hi,

Yafa is just the US distributor for few brands including Delta (I think Nettuno, now owned by Aurora, is not in Yafa portfolio anymore).

Delta is produced in Naples, Italy. And yes, nibs are Bocks.
