Sailor Professional Gear or Mont Blanc 146 ?

I read the above comment by LoiusA years ago - and since then it cames to my mind again and again. I already have purchased a classic 1911 large with F nib and it is one of the best pens I ever had. I still miss the piston so I guess I need to get a 1911 Realo with MF nib as you suggested - to be a happy person

 

Anyway, I agree with all those who say that Sailor nibs are excellent.

I must admit, too, that maybe I like more the feel of my MB's resin in my hand - but when it comes to writing Sailor wins.

Get a Sailor Full Size 1911 with the Togi Medium Fine nib and you'll be a happy person. The MB can't stand up to the Sailor (IMHO) in areas of durability and nib smoothness. Of course if you want to purchase a "lifestyle" then get on a plane to Charleston and find the MB dealer there (the sales girls look like Brazillian fashion models in business suits with short skits) and purchase a 146.

 

And I have both a Pro Gear and a 146.
