Senator Windsor

Nasdal: Yes, I could see how you might feel that way! My Windsor writes a wee bit on the dry side. I've not tried any Pelikan inks in it yet, but I could see how they wouldn't get along very well.

georges: Their fattest pen is the Senator President. Their website is worthless- you can't order anything from it. But Googling for "senator pen" will most certainly get you to it. :P

Hi,

Senator made some nice pens I have one that looks like this but has few green swirls on the barrel, writes well and the piston is very smooth, I think I paid less than £10 for it 3 or 4 years ago. Only problem I have had with it is it's refusal to post but this seems to be a 'feature'.

Well worth the price, I have bid on a few more in the past couple of years without success, but then I think others have discovered what a good value pen it is.

My understanding, and please correct me if I'm wrong, is that the old Senator company basically ceased production some time ago. The pens that are left are basically NOS ones that are still floating around. The current Senator company and the one that makes the President, is not the same as the older company. I have owned a President also and it is, imho, a good pen.

Hmm...does anyone know whether the nib from the Classico and Windsor is interchangeable? Could only find the Windsor with a medium nib but I do have a Classico with a fine nib so it'd be nice to be able to switch it onto the Windsor.

Yup, they are swappable. The Classico is made by Reform, not Senator in case that wasn't clear. The Reform 1745 nib also swaps with the Classico and Senator Windsor.

Thanks! I realised my error over the weekend. I'm now wondering whether Senator, Reform and even Tropen share some sort of connection with each other (besides the fact that they are all German). Or perhaps Senators and Reforms all share a generic nib unit?

Incredible, I just saw a Senator Windsor at ebay.de for $ 180,- . It's a advertizing pen with an inscription. I have exactly the same pen only without this advertizing inscription. And my nib looks different.

Will you click here please

Hi Everybody,

Last month I found some NOS Senator Windsor in green, blue and gray marbled body texture with M and B nib. Very nice and powerful piston filler. With its price and with its other points(structure of piston filling system) better than Pelikan M200. Nib point polishing and shape better than Peli.

I will put here some pictures of mine.
