[UK] Ultrasonic cleaner on offer at Maplin

Recommended Posts

UK readers might be interested to know that the Maplin (electronic bits 'n bobs)

store chain currently has an ultrasonic cleaner on offer for 14.99 gbp

They have a website at www.maplin.co.uk, and the item code to search for is A51GX.

No affiliation, etc. I haven't bought this model, but I bought a standard-priced one

from Maplin a few months ago which shifts dried ink out of caps like a dream.

Looks like a good deal, and Maplin are reputable, but I would take a look at the power output before I recommend one.

What would you/should I be looking for? I was thinking about hitting the Belfast Maplin tomorrow to see if they have any...

Thanks for the heads up, DeeJay

always wanted one - will give it a butcher's.

Got it. Only 30W but just ran the cycle several times.

Used it on a Carene that originally I was a bit disappointed with. I could actually see the oils etc coming out of the breather holes. Now writes like a dream.

Used it on one of my regular user Legacy's. Now writes EVEN more smoothly than before.

You want to look at the power output, mine is a 50W but anything below 35W is going to be not a loss of use. Best of luck.
