AS a person who like to match pen with ink, I am looking for a nuetral pen colour other than black. and have decided this will meet my needs.

I can then have a ink that does not clash with the pen as a option!

Looking for suggestions:

Considering:

Parker Duofold Centeninal Ivory/Pearl

Diplomat Aero White

Montblanc  Glaicier White

Parker Duofold Centennial White Ivorine Fountain Pen

Needs to have Broad nib option.

Any other to consider.

I have

 Lamy 2000

Parker Sonnet

Lamy Studio

Lamy Safari

Parker 61

MB Jonathan Swift

Leonardo MZG 2.0

Parker International

Waterman Carene

Thanks for your help.

Pelikan has/had some Mx05 that fit the theme, otherwise there's the Platinum 3776 (Chenonceau?), and several Sailor (including some standard edition ivory 1911L).

Well, there's this Optima Caleidoscopio, which is still available.

Very nice but not as beautiful imo as the all-white 365 which seems to have disappeared completely. Glad I snagged one when it came out.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

White mixed with pearlish colour and contrast with black make the Parker Duofold quite special to me. If you add that it is available in two different sizes makes them a pen to look after, much more than the grey version.

Please allow me to add:

Stipula La22 in ebony white - still regularly available

Esterbrook Estie in Winter White - still regularly available

Esterbrook Estie Coffee Monster - still regularly available

Montblanc Rouge e Noir Baby in white - most probably still available

Montblanc Princess Gracia (in white) - some single pens as NOS available for increased price

Pelikan M605 White - maybe out of stock?

Lamy Dialog cc - still available

Graf v. Faber-Castell Annelo white - maybe out of stock?

FPR Himmalaya Taj Mahal - still regularly available

Kaweco Sport Mineral White - still regularly available

Laban 325 Snow - still regularly available

Platinum Procyon Luster Nishikigoi - still regularly available

And then there are the "neutral" metal pens - I guess, some 50 models or so?

Good luck hunting!

One life!

The modern 146 is a Large pen, the 149 is an ovesized pen, much too big for me and my 9 & 1/2 inch spread hands. Have one 149 part of a live auction lot, that I'll never use.

I find the 146 stately, and fair balanced, posted.

I prefer medium-large pens like a 600 Pelikan, or a P-51.

I have a '1948-59 medium-large 146 with a semi-flex nib that I much prefer to the Large 1970-now 146 springy regular flex nib. The vintage, somewhat smaller 146 has much better balance and a more lively nib.

............

I have found the medium large vintage MB 14 to have quite good balance and a nice semi-flex nib. Semi-flex is a flair nib, adding natural flair to your writing, not a calligraphy do Olympic splits with nib....superflex nib. Semi=almost...slight tine spread up to 3X vs a light downstroke when pressed medium hard.

I had thoughts of buying am MB144, a cartridge pen...medium-large (my guess) in I found my large 146's a bit big for me, but lucked into this vintage medium-large 14 piston pen, so don't have to buy a cartridge/converter pen.

...............

I am quite happy with my MB32, but it is light and lively standard pen, which seems too small for you, even posted.

What pens do you have?

Do you post?

Yes I have this in mind as also I can get a modern nib of choice to fit from Parker if the pen doesn’t have it as secondhand.

£350 - £450 appears to be the current price

Pelikan’s white pens always catch my eye. I don’t love the idea of white/cream but I still think they’re gorgeous.

There’s a new white Pelikan Toledo, I forgot what size. The Platinum white Shape of Heart is pretty, and Zodiac Pen company had a Pearl iridescent pen that is beautiful.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of 20 currently inked pens:

Sheaffer 100 Satin Blue M, Pelikan Moonstone/holographic mica

Brute Force Designs Pequeño Ultraflex EF, Journalize Horsehead Nebula

Pilot Custom 743 <FA>, Oblation Sitka Spruce

Pilot Elite Ciselé <F>, Colorverse Dokdo

Platinum PKB 2000, Platinum Cyclamen Pink

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Levenger also made some pearly white fountain pens that were quite fetching.

While not totally white, I thought Pelikan’s m670 warm gray was quite attractive when I saw it in person.

Leonardo has a Magico that is a translucent white but the ink color might change the look substantially.

Somewhat off the beaten path, I have a Cleo Skribent Classic piston-filler in pure white, with a clear ink window, which is nice if you're using the pen as a neutral backdrop for interesting inks. They do also make a cartridge-converter version. It's a medium-long but slender pen (134mm barrel end to nib tip, section from 9-11mm), which works well for me but might not for everyone. I bought mine with the steel nib option although I believe it can be had in 14k. The nib is quite small: it looks like a Bock 060, the same size used in Kaweco Sports and Dia 2s -- and thanks to what appears to be a custom trim ring, I haven't tried swapping in the larger Bock #5s (076 or 180) to see if they'll fit in the cap, which works with Dia 2s. Nevertheless, the pen writes very well. Here's their website: https://shop.cleo-skribent.de/Kollektion/Classic-Palladium/. Hard to find at retail in the US, though when I have seen them they've been considerably less than the MSRP listed there. Not sure what the situation would be in the UK.

The man asks for Ivory pens and most replies are of white pens...🤔

1. Graf von Faber Castell Intuition Ivory, there are 2 variants: normal and fluted.

Though it would be hard to find one since it's been discontinued about 5-6 years ago. I have 4 of them (2 ivory, black and terra), very very confortable in the hand, but seals very bad. Ink dries in the feed if not used for 5-7 days and you need to prime the feed.

But even so, It's one of the pens I would keep even if I were to sell 90% of my pens.

2. Sailor has some ivory pens in the 1911

3. Montblanc Heritage Baby Ivory (tiny pen)

4. Pilot Prera in Ivory

5. Montegrappa Extra has some Ivory celluloid

6. Kaweco student retro

7. Leonardo has some ivory pens, not sure if they are still produced

8. Montblanc Mahatma Gandhi

9. Visconti Rembrandt Ivory + various super expensive pens (Taj Mahal, Knights Templars, etc)

10. Omas Biblioteque Nationale

Good call that 👆

Of course speaking of ivory, you left out one that shall not be named, and for good reason.

Also, the Hakase made out of real "in Japan it's not illegal, ya know" African elephant ivory 😏
