12 Slot Pen Case on Amazon <$30

Amazon has leather 12 slot pen cases with a removable tray for under $30 if you choose the tan color.  The other four colors are $30.06. If they are similar to the ones I've purchased in the past they are of good quality and an excellent bargain.

Interesting, but think I prefer the 12 pen Girologio zipper cases, which have the elastic bands holding the pens in place for travel purposes (such as when I'm taking pens to a pen show to be repaired).  

And for general storage, I have a number of the 24 pen zipper cases from Rockler which are a LOT less expensive (I just looked at their website and they're currently running about $16 US on their website.  While not as nice a material as leather, they are convenient for storage and also have elastic bands holding the pens in place.  Although whether there's a Rockler's location near you, I can't answer -- you'd have to check their website.

That's a nice one. However, it is not leather. Under the "Materials & Care" section on the Amazon page it specifies "PU Faux Leather". Just thought I would point that out so that there's no disappointment.

 

But it is still a decent case and a good deal at that price!

Would not expect leather at those prices

Only the tan and brown colors say PU leather in the descripton, the other colors don't.  I got a red one that smells like real leather.

We have the Contact's Family (brand) six-slot pen cases in red and blue (and now brown as well). It's what @OCArt is referring to is from the same product line, then it's genuine leather, albeit highly processed stuff, and not polyurethane.

I'm not sure we're looking at the same product, but the prices match. The one I found has 5 colors, and all of them except the red (black, brown, gray, blue) say PU faux leather way down in the product information/technical details. I ordered a red one, but I'll return it if it's faux. So a tentative thanks for the info.

 

Oops, further down in the Compare with Similar Items list, it says it's "faux leather" but not "PU faux leather". Anyway, I am attempting to cancel the order.

You haven't heard of leather smell spray? Often used to either deceive or to add a bit of help convincing to buy.

Very sturdy and actually good-looking, IMO. 

 

But,

a paper added to my boxes said it is made from LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene), nothing is said about being leather.

 

Now, there are two possibilities:

1) everything is made from Low-Density Polyethylene or

2) it is Low-Density Polyethylene covered by a thin layer of leather.

 

Personally, I tend to believe it is 2) but I won't exclude the possibility that the leather layer is actually PU leather.
