Cracks in my new M800?

Hello there, I hope that this is just a manufacturing mark, and not a crack in my new M800 Cream and Blue

I like to clean my pens with a small black microfiber towel meant for sunglasses, and I noticed that some of the towel “lint” catching on two opposite vertical lines along the threads, and if I run my finger I can feel something. Are these normal? Or Cracks? I am very very gentle on my pens, so nothing has happened to it.  Please see pictures below, and the line along the threads

That is absolutely normal.

All mine have that and it is the "seam" mark, which on the threads are not polished out.

Enjoy your M800 Cream and Blue, it is a beautiful pen. Congrats.

Thanks so much for that quick reply!!! I am glad it is normal, does not bother me at all, I just feared that it was a crack that would continue to run !

Thanks. The pen has them on either side of the threads , so I was panicking.

Now on to a red stripped M800 to fill the final space in the pen case,  and then give it a rest  for a while to get those pen allotment coffers full again.

That’s a little disappointing that a high-priced pen has this quirk. The section threads are sometimes exposed to ink. Does this seam get stained over time?

I imagine they do on the light colored pens like mine.

Check the inside of the cap lip. There is the place most cracks appear in the WHITE pens.

I have 4 Pelikan with White/cream caps (white tortoise, pink, turquoise and complete white), some of them have only filled once, I don't post, I very gently screw the caps, and 3 of them have micro cracks.

I'm not sure if the black ones have them too, maybe they are too dark to see.

Three out of four, a terrible record.
