Hand-made fountain pen with magnetic filling system

Hi everyone, I am an Italian penmaker and I love making unconventional writing instruments, in fact I want to present my model called LISA where its peculiarity is in the magnetic piston filling system.
To create this system I used two neodymium magnets, a spherical one inside the tank and an external one incorporated in the back of the pen.

To lower and raise the piston just extract the external magnet and bring it closer to the side of the tank where the spherical magnet is located.

I attach a demonstration video where you can see the system in action. Another peculiarity is the desk stand where it uses the magnetic energy of the fountain pen to keep it suspended in a horizontal position as if gravity did not exist.
The nib is a number 6 by Jowo.
The ink capacity is 3ml.

Interesting.

Although I'd be worrying about the potential issues with the magnet(s) when in close proximity to things that shouldn't be near magnets (such as credit cards) in my purse -- the same way I'd worry about pens with magnetic caps.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Very clever design. I've not seen anything like this before.  And 3ml.... nice!

Currently most used pen: Parker 51 Aerometric <F> -- filled with Waterman Mysterious Blue ink.

Of course magnets can be dangerous for some things, I would add that they are very dangerous for people with pacemakers. With this fountain pen I wanted to create something innovative with a modern concept. It is mainly a desk writing instrument.

I think I am the only one in the world with a magnetic fountain pen of this kind. The PENBBS 487 model looks similar, but it is not the same system. There is a video by Figboot on Pens on YouTube that compared my model with the PENBBS

I think that is an intriguing and unique filling idea! The magnet acts a bit like a piston then?

Penso che sia un'idea di riempimento intrigante e unica! Il magnete agisce un po' come un pistone, allora?

Exactly, with magnets the piston moves exactly as if it were a plunger fountain pen.

I attach a demonstration video of the LISA magnetic fountain pen.

thank you
