New FP addict saying Hi

PenLovingE

Recommended Posts

Hi, Everyone,

The name is Eric. I'm so excited to officially be a part of the forum. I have a growing collection of mostly inexpensive Chinese pens (and my grail M800 Green Demonstrator) and love them all. The ink selection, the filling, the cleaning, the grinding nibs and of course the writing. This forum has been so helpful to me; I hope I can add back to it!

These are quite fetching in photos and I bet even nicer in person. 🙂

:W2FPN: What @torstar said, outside of the ubiquitous Basildon bond or really expensive stuff finding writing paper especially made in the UK is like finding teeth on hens I know from there catalog that Silvine make pads for writing correspondence on, but being able to buy it is a, whole other ball game.

Welcome, hope you have some local stores to see and try out pens, and buy some writing paper as well...

Thanks!

I really like Leuchtturm dotted journals. I also have some knockoff versions from AliExpress that are 1/3 the price or less and 95% as good (the pages don't have the slickness the L does).

I just found this on AliExpress:

It's a real beauty! Here it is next to my Admok M800.

Good product, even the knockoffs.

Pelikan has made these "green demonstrator" models for decades.  I've always liked them.  You can see all the workings, but the green color still lends some mystery and highlights the gold trim nicely.  Good choice!
