Accidentally found a new favorite color

So like the story of post-it notes inventor goes, I was trying to do something completely normal when this happened by accident.

I just dug up my old Lamy Vista to see the differences in medium nibs (Lamy, Sailor, TWSBI) and put a little sample of Diamine Hope Pink in this one.

Little did I know, past-me didn’t clean out this pen that well (or at all—who knows what I was up to in 2023), so leftovers of whatever ink was in the pen before was still there when I started writing. After a page or so of trying to retrace my ink history (at least of stuff I had back then), I’ve narrowed it down to probably Troublemaker Sea Glass.

As someone who doesn’t usually touch pinks or red inks, this purple-type combination is really high up on my list of favorite ink colors now. What do you think?

I like the color.  But not sure what you're asking -- are you looking for an ink that would be a similar color to this mix?

To my eyes it is similar to Conklin Dusty Rose.

I will have to check that one out next time I run out of mystery samples. It’s definitely a color I want to keep in my main rotation.

That happens to me, too. And in fact I have a mix of mystery inks that is surprisingly similar to yours. It started out as a mix of blues, with some purple added. I had also added a dregs mix, so who knows what's in it. I've given up figuring out what's in it, just try to approach the color when I make a new mix. And keep some for reference... Enjoy it while it lasts.
