Who Has a MoonMan TI 200

Does anyone know the function of the "Ball" and "Metal Piece" in the converter?

The way it's set up the "Ball" fits into the "Metal Piece" in the nib up position, but when in the writing position, the ball will roll into the top of a cylinder in the section and the hollow "Metal Piece" will rest on top of it.

I know some Pundits have discarded those pieces but wouldn't you think they were designed to do something?

(A Sailor cartridge fits just like the converter)

Most probably agitators --- at least the ball.

I cannot understand why the "metal piece"

is needed as well, though.

If not needed it might be a decorative piece?

Have fun!
