Hello from California

Hi everyone! I'm newly into fountain pens and still figuring out what I like. I thought for certain I wouldn't enjoy vintage pens, but I was at the California Pen Show this past weekend and got to see some really beautiful pens, which (un?)fortunately opened up a whole new dimension of this rabbit hole for me. I picked up a Waterman's Lady Patricia and am now telling myself that I am absolutely not going to go browse my local antique stores and also absolutely not going to try restoring anything ever.

I'm happy to have discovered this hobby and looking forward to learning more as I go!

I would if I could! I'm up in Northern California, though--just happened to be visiting some friends near LA while the California Pen Show was happening so figured I'd take a look.

Everyday, I tell myself: Absolutely no new pens!  Absolutely no more ink!  Absolutely not another notebook!  Somehow my coviction seems to be weak...

Currently most used pen: Lamy Safari <F> -- filled with J. Herbin Perle Noir
