i am exceedingly pleased with my new lamy2000.....a joy to write with !

for a macrolon / resin pen it feels a good weight.

does any one know if it contains a metaltube in the barrel for the piston and ink or does the piston work directly on the inner macrolon body.

just curious if the ink is in a metal tube or in direct contact with the macrolon.

i have not dissassembled my new pen to find out.

The ink is in direct contact with the Makrolon body. With the regular Lamy 2000, the barrel of the pen is entirely plastic composite including the piston mechanism. In my opinion, this is a smart design. The barrel is a solid piece from the threads where it connects with the grip section to the place where the piston knob screws in. The makrolon material is dense, and that is why you get the substantial feel. It's also fairly thick, especially in the thickest part of the pen.

Stolen: Aurora Optima Demonstrator Red ends Medium nib. Serial number 1216 and Aurora 98 Cartridge/Converter Black bark finish (Archivi Storici) with gold cap. Reward if found. Please contact me if you have seen these pens.

Please send vial orders and other messages to fpninkvials funny-round-mark-thing gmail strange-mark-thing com. My shop is open once again if you need help with your pen.
