Comway Stewart 106 with Gold Textured Cap

Hello all,

My first post here, so I hope this os the right place. I've recently started servicing pens and bought a Conway Stewart 106 squeeze filler to fix. It just needed a new sac and a clean, so straightforward. The question I have is: has anyone seen this gold coloured textured cap before?

I've seen a few 106s but they always have a classic Conway Stewart cap and clip. This one is very different.

Looks ok to me, but my suspicion is that it may have been transplanted from another pen?

Thanks. There's something about the cap that doesn't sit right with me. Having said that it fits on the clutch ring well. It's got the CS logo on the clip, but the way the clip is secured to the pen seems cheaper than the usual CS clip. My first instinct was to wonder if it was a late, blingy cap designed as they were struggling.
