Namiki Yukari Royale Urushi Vermillion fountain pen

I must say that writing with this pen is a Zen like experience: minimalist design, nice balance and feel in hand, and a nib that does what might be expected from an outstanding nib. I seem to like this pen more than the Namiki Chinkin series. The only failing here is my poor handwriting that stubbornly refuses to come up to this pen, besides evidently an utter lack of photographic skill.

Fontoplumo was most helpful and considerate in this acquistion, and I can't thank Frank enough

Judging from the show-through, it should be Tomoe River 52g/m2? Or am I wrong?

Have you ever tried the 68g/m2 paper from them?

Example: https://www.gentlemanstationer.com/blog/2023/9/27/from-the-archives-tomoe-river-68gsm-remains-one-of-my-favorite-papers

I bought a little bit before the new version came out and thought that it had nearly show-through.

But the link above testing the new formula paper also shows heavy show-through. I am surprised.

Well spotted! There is indeed a show through. To be precise the paper I use is in these notebooks from Design-Y.

Thank you for the tip about the 68gsm Tomoe River. Once I am done with the present stock, I shall try this. I also use Japanese "Life" brand notebooks; though nice to write on and no show through, that is not Tomoe River paper
