LAMY safari JETSTREAM INSIDE. and Jetstream M17 refill. (Japan limited launch?)

Recommended Posts

Hi !

I do not know the details of the overseas sales status of Lamy since the domestic sales source of Lamy in Japan has been centralized to Mitsubishi Pencil. However, information is available on Lamy's website.

The refill Jetstream M17 that fits these ballpoint pens is compatible with Lamy M16 refills. (Probably fully compatible.)

Mitsubishi Pencil press release. (Japanese language.)

Please excuse me if someone has mentioned this elsewhere before this.

I think this is a very positive development because in my experience the Lamy ballpoints and pencils have been very lackluster, and Mitsubishi Pencil has very good technology in these areas.

The Jetstream inside is something I was hoping for.

The next thing will be if they have a revised mechanism for the Lamy 2000 pencil. I will buy it. If it's a drop in replacement mechanism, I will buy the mechanism from one of the places I get parts from. If they had to redesign the pencil inside and out, I'll buy the pencil. The Lamy 2000 pencil I have, I feel it is beautiful on the outside, but the mechanism is very garbage in my opinion compared to my Mitsubishi Pencil mechanical pencils. It breaks leads easily because the mechanism is not well stabilized and it does not click out a very consistent amount of lead every time I click the top. I am on a brand new replacement mechanism now that I got from my Lamy parts person, but it's just not that good. I have more enjoyment from my Mitsubishi Pencil pencils. My favorite is the Alpha Gel Slim because the mechanism feels very good, smooth, and precise. I also have the Kuru Toga including the Dive, but from those I most enjoy the regular plastic ones (M3-450/M5-450). Maybe we can even see some new 0.3mm Lamy pencils for Asia market. I will for sure buy one if it comes out.

Stolen: Aurora Optima Demonstrator Red ends Medium nib. Serial number 1216 and Aurora 98 Cartridge/Converter Black bark finish (Archivi Storici) with gold cap. Reward if found. Please contact me if you have seen these pens.

Please send vial orders and other messages to fpninkvials funny-round-mark-thing gmail strange-mark-thing com. My shop is open once again if you need help with your pen.

It is good to hear the M17 will fit pens that use the Lamy M16. I have a Lamy Safari ballpoint which is unused because I prefer Jetstream. This is very good news indeed. Thankyou.

Will work for pens...
