To me it looks full on gold. But it is a heavy pen. Makes it feel important 😆

I took German in middle school & high school.  I did take an adult-ed class at the local community college in "Conversational French" but was more of an outlier compared to the other students -- most of them were going to go on trips to France in the upcoming months, whereas I wanted to be able to READ French as a stepping stone to reading medieval French (particularly for redacting recipes from medieval texts but also in case I could ever track down a book that had the regulations for all the different guilds in Paris in the Middle Ages (I forget who wrote it, but he was some sort of official, like the mayor or something,IIRC).  I've run across references in other sources to it, but have never been able to track it down, and don't know if it was ever translated into English in its entirety.

Yes, I'm that much of a geek sometimes....
