This is my first ever online review of any fountain pen and I post it here instead of the Indian subcontinent forum because I believe that this pen and brand deserve recognition from all fountain pen users from over the world, not just those interested in the Indian fountain pen industry. Also, PLP deliver products to all over the world.

Colors of different models can be seen at their website: PLP Handmade Pens

For pricing and availability, please WhatsApp Mr. Satish Kumar from PLP pens on this number +91 96522 76914

PLP 008 is normal sized pen by modern standards and made completely out of ebonite. In the eyedropper version it comes with an Indian made Ambitious nib with an ebonite feed.

I also have this model and have become a fan of little shop.  They are doing some outstanding work and I think it's great that they get some exposure.  I live in Southwest Indiana, USA, and I heard about the company through a video review By Matt of TheWetPen on YouTube.  I can't do Indian ebonite in small measure so three pens were in the first order with an additional three on the way as I sit here typing this.  Besides the craftsmanship and handmade quality only Indian ebonite pens seem to possess, a point to consider-at least for the moment-is price.  These amazing things are still affordable and within reach for most American pen users that might be interested in an Indian eyedropper pen.  Most of their models are available as a cartridge/converter with the associated increase in cost.  Like many fans of eyedropper style Indian pens, I prefer to keep my choices "all Indian" for the most part with the occasional c/c model.  The website is worth checking out.  Since they have been getting more exposure, they are out of stock for several items so check back regularly.

Very good post along with detailed comparison pics 👍 PLP makes good pens, especially for those who need an affordable option.

I too came to know about PLP from the same video of Mathew of the Wet Pen. Happy to learn about your appreciation of Indian ebonite fountain pens.

You are right sir, they are definitely getting more exposure now.

However, their website is not a reliable indicator of availability anymore. Most of the pens that I ordered through WhatsApp were showing out of stock on the website. It will always be wiser to check with Satish with once on WhatsApp, most likely they will make a pen for you even if the website shows 'out of stock'.

I will keep that in mind because I have a rather large collection of ebonite pens that I am always ready to augment.  It's probably over 75 now but I have several pens that are grouped according to brand name so I am not certain.  It's a part of my particular collecting approach.  Since I live in the US, I also need to make an order large enough to make the shipping viable.  That is why my two orders have been for three pens at a time.  Si, I will give this much thought.  I do like dealing with pen makers like PLP.  Holding their work in my hand makes me happy and I wish them well.
