The Chinese text highlights that the pump-filler is highly practical, enabling a complete fill with just a few button presses.

Am I the only one turned off by those mini-clips? They really bug me somehow.

Not a fixed converter. The entire body of the pen of the pen fills with ink. There's a blind cap at the back in order to access the button.

Thank goodness someone else has the same reaction!

I'm seeing quite a resemblance to my Italian Ancora Cielo LE (translucent blue instead of clear, maybe it also came in clear -- it does, also other translucent models) -- same shape, same placement of trim rings, similar clip shape (except the Cielo's is normal size). The Cielo is a vacuum filler where the entire back end of the barrel pops back to become the plunger when you unscrew it, and the entire barrel is the ink tank. You can see the filler tube in this photo (copied from eBay) and I like being able to watch it work when I fill the pen, and then again when I clean it out.

The Majohn filler is an interesting, and probably cheaper, alternative.

But yeah, what is up with that clip? Do they do that on a lot of their pens?

Love the cap and barrel bands on that Ancora, Paul, very handsome pen.

Yes, Majohn has had at least one other pen in this ‘C’ series with that shrunken clip. I imagine it’s intended as a roll stopper and ornament, not a functional clip, but jeez, I’ve seen so many cute roll

stopper, why that wizened little thing!

I thought maybe it was a variation on a military clip like they had in WWII, designed not to show too much shiny stuff in the pocket in combat situations. I think it could work as a clip if you have a really deep pocket, otherwise not so much.

OF COURSE! That's why it seemed familiar. Although in my case it was under the Santini brand, before Santini sold the brand to a Russian.

Its the same operating principle but different design. I deeply regret ever selling my Santini Italia Costa Smeralda.

Yeah, me too....

I did not know that.

To clarify, Santini bought the Ancora brand, and for a while pens under both brand names looked very similar. Then Santini sold the Ancora brand to a Russian business, but as far as I know they are still being made in Italy.

According to fellow Wechat group members, it only takes three press to fill to full.

But in the video it needs more. Two presses and it is at 30-40%, and suddenly it is full. Wonder why they didn't show the full process of filling?

Worst case: they are cheating.

Maybe something needs to be adjusted or needed to be flushed out before first use?

Like the Pilot Con-40, this pen likely fills best when it's held perfectly vertically. You can actually see the seal in the middle of the pen failing to properly engage with the bottom of the ink chamber in the video.
