Has anybody already disassembled a Dadao 9019?

Is the nib/housing assembly screwed in?

And the converter?

If so it could be a nice donor pen.

The converter is a screw in type, but with the regular international 2.6 mouth. Thus the pen can use any international cartridges or converters.

I haven't been able to screw out the nib unit, I belive it is just friction fitted.

On mine the nib unit unscrews. 2,6mm is one of the Chinese standard, "international standard" is more 2,3/2,4mm.
You can use international standard (or whatever that means) cartridges and converters, but expect them to either get the mouth enlarged or to eventually crack.

Mine came with a heartbeat nib and it’s probably the best medium nib I’ve ever used - ridiculously smooth and wet.  I may have just gotten lucky but am so tempted to buy a spare!   I was going to give my 9019 to an FP newbie but after writing with it I just can’t part with it.

Yes, the 2.6mm is the Chinese small size. You can sometimes fit international sized cartridges and converters, but I too have seen that sometimes they will often end up cracking. They do better with actual Chinese 2.6mm cartridges and converters designed for them. I think it's pretty nice that this pen has its own dedicated large size converter so that the space can be well used.

Why buy only one spare Jinhao 9019? The colours, the size, the converter and the price make them very attractive pens.

If you can transplant the nib/feed/converter part into a penturner pen, then you have many more choices of materials and designs.

No doubt, the 9019 is a very good pen but still it is quite limited in colors and designs. I have a number of them, with the traditional colors - I am not so much a fan of colored transparent pens. Photo below: left side MB149, right side Sailor KoP ST.

There is one more nearing my home - the teal-colored pen.
