Help identifying italic nib type

ThePelikano

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a pelikan 120 which was sold as a medium italic.

I love it so much and want to buy a pen with a similar nib. I have a different italic nib which has tipping on and doesn't have as crisp lines.

Does anyone know what type of nib this might be?

I've seen discussions talking about crisp, sharp, cursive and daily italics and I don't know where this nib falls!

Any suggestions/ help or similar pen recommendations will be very much appreciated!!

The one that you say has tipping on and does not give crisp lines could possibly just be a Stub nib that does not give as much variation to writing lines.

Your profile does not give information such as where you are so it makes it difficult to send you to places or people who could help you identify the different types of nibs available or even let you try out pens - individual people on here and a lot of the dealers that frequent this site are very generous and allow you to try things out in person, if you are in their area, hey, even pen friends have been known to send pens and inks to other pen friends to try out, so you never know!
