I have started my collection only recently and have decided to take a small break from adding any more. I need to review my model interests, sell those I don't use often, and then build back up slowly in the direction I seem to naturally be inclined to. Based on about 1.5 years of collecting, I have:

1930s:

  • Montblanc 432 (stylograph) Piston
  • Montblanc 422 (stylograph; French) Push Knob
  • Montblanc No. 1 ("1" nib; Danish) Button filler
  • Montblanc 302 ("a" warranted nib) Safety filler
  • Montblanc 324 ("b" warranted nib) Button filler

Future additions: 13x series (tie clip), 12x (PL ideally)

1940s:

  • Montblanc 332 Telescoping Piston
  • Montblanc 334 1/2 Piston
  • Montblanc 244 Piston
  • Montblanc 244 Piston

Future addition: 234 1/2 Luxury,

1950s:

  • Montblanc 644G Meisterstück Telescoping Piston
  • Montblanc 342D Piston Montblanc 252 Piston
  • Montblanc 264 Piston
  • Montblanc 146G Meisterstück Telescoping Piston
  • Montblanc 142 Meisterstück Telescoping Piston

Future additions: 144, 146 Green Striated, 344, 256

1960s:

  • Montblanc #34 Piston
  • Montblanc 72 Meisterstück Piston

1970s:

  • Montblanc 622G Junior Piston

1980s:

  • Montblanc 146 Meisterstück Piston

1990s:

  • Montblanc 149 Meisterstück Piston

2000s:

  • Montblanc 147 Traveller Cartridge

2010s: Nothing yet, and nothing intended to be honest. I am going to stick to building my 1930-1950 collection.

I also have a few sub brands or brands that MB manufactured for:

  • Stoffhaas (by MB) "B" Safety filler, "b" warranted nib, Hard Rubber, 1930s
  • Stoffhaas (by MB) 321 Button filler, warranted nib, Hard Rubber, 1940s
  • Skribent (by MB) Super 4 Button filler, Danish, 1950s
  • Monte Rosa (by MB) 402SG Piston, 1960s

Your Montblanc music nib was extra-special.

If it's writing well for you, that's the best of all.
