It’s That Time Of Year Again (spoiler alert)

(Spoiler alert warning for those who may not wish to know what 2025 bring)

ok, here it is, no pics but some interesting pens coming this year.

There will be a Chartreuse solitaire with inlaid geometric gold lines and gold trim, similar to the burgundy lacquer. It will have the curved nib and the normal range.

There will be a yellow version of the Ferrari pen.

The new 80 Days is blue, which was a bit of a surprise/disappointment to me. Nice solitaire though.

The next Blue Hour (which will go out of production in 2025) will be a bold red.

I was shown frustratingly fuzzy photos of the WE and some other pen that wasn’t the We set (looked like a solitaire) but couldn’t make much of a mind of either. The boutique seemed sworn to secrecy. I did ask….they said they didn’t know…. I strongly suspect I was lied to!

The Chartreuse lacquer has already leaked on YouTube with two vids.

Would it be within the Forum rules to provide a link to this video; if so I would be grateful

Thank you

@a student Keywords “Montblanc Chartreuse Lacquer” in YouTube will yield a “Short” by Samuel Naldi as the top search result, featuring the pen in a ten-second clip.

Many thanks. Mr Naldi does offer a brief glimpse– like some latter day version of the forbidden fruit!

Actually, Led on by the Montblanc link, I just noticed that it is being sold by P.W. Akkerman for a couple of thousand euros (with vat to be added on), and that also left me non-plussed as to just what the "secret" bit is all about.

Euro 2000 is not a bad price given that the "precious resin" 149 curved nib costs about half that.

The design and the material do very much appeal; but from my personal experience of the MB curved nib, and speaking for myself, it does require considerable practice.

All that would be besides a decision of what you intend to use it for (this point of course has no relevance for "the collectors"). The flexibility in use offered by the flex calligraphy nib is not there.

Celadon as all know has a history and place in the cultures of the East, with calligraphy a part of the traditional scholar's education. Perhaps that might be the intended market.

PS: WE what‘s your guess?

rumors were Goethe or Bram Stoker

Given the current use, or rather the misuse, of the media, I would forlornly hope that it just might be that plainspeak guy Orwell's turn; and, if so, keeping in mind Orwell's persona, the design might be less than the full MB over the top ornate treatment– just my tuppence worth anyway

And lot of interesting things like maybe a new version of the Baby (in addition of the limited one really expensive), a Great Masters and lot of fun in music for the GC 😀

Seems like you got a glimpse of some of them

There is also a metal 'M' with a red feed.

Ive been told that there will also be a burgundy 149 and a light avocado green one, but haven't seen pictures of either.

Now, that is interesting. I hope they don’t bring these with that bizar rilling system.

Thank you everyone for the info! Boutique staff won’t say a word! 🤐 Does anyone know what 2025 Masters of Art/High Artistry will look like?

Don't know what will be the subject of High Artistry for 2025. For the Masters of Art, general design will look like to a pencil.

I suppose the light avocado green one is the Calligraphy Solitaire that is coming from several days, delayed for several years, with the M or curved nib. For Burgundy 149, no idea/heard something. Isn't the Traveller 1924?

@Cyrille81 The Meisterstück Traveller LE1924 is a Coral 149, so perhaps the Burgundy 149 @Uncial mentions is a different pen.
