It has been several years since I last participated in the forum. I retired and now live in the Birmingham, AL, area. Are there any pen clubs or shows in the area?

Hi Mike and nice to see you again! Welcome Back. Please note that there is NO longer a Classifieds Section here at FPN. The new software does not play nice with the old "For Sale" format and apparently kept crashing the whole FPN site, so it was left out. No update as to when/if ever it will be replaced.

 

There was an old club operating in the Birmingham area a few years back but they haven't been heard from recently.

Thanks for the friendly replies. Where does one go to purchase or sell pens? My wife and i have a friend whose deceased husband had a fountain pen collection; which most are Parkers. I’m trying to help her sell them but haven’t located a trustworthy site.

There’s a few places that will buy collections or do consignment. Speerbob in South Carolina who is a member here, Teri at Peyton Street in California, also a member with a storefront, Kirk Speer over at Pen Realm, Five Star Pens, The Pen Market, Chatterley Luxuries- they’re all recommended.
