Mystery Waterman Fountain Pen – Missing W Stamp, Gold-Plated, Gentleman or Something Else?

I recently came across a vintage Waterman fountain pen that’s giving me a bit of a mystery. The pen looks very similar to the Gentleman series, but this one doesn’t have the signature “W” logo on the cap top. The body appears gold-plated, but I’m not 100% sure. Nib is showing: Paris 18K 750.

Could this be a variant of the Gentleman series, or a regional/limited release? Or something else entirely.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It indeed is a Préface, recognizable from the black hexagon on top of the cap. A Gentleman has quite another clip, and the grip is in the same fashion as the barrel, would have been gold-plated if it would have been a Gentleman.
