Parker '17' leaking/missing parts

Hi, ill keep it brief, i had a black Duofold that i loved that never failed me, but i have just moved and somehow got lost along the way 😕 i do however still have this Parker '17' that i bought for my little sister a few years ago, however soon after buying it it started leaking ink from what i assumed to be a crack in the feed (please tell me if im miss informed as to the part name, the part im pointing to in the photos). it is also missing the ring that goes between the shell/hood and the barrel. its a really nice little pen if i can get it going and i really like the colour :) so far the hood is on there TIGHT can anybody tell me how its held on? is it threaded or shellac or just a really tight press fit? i was thinking a soak would help loosen it up either way, would warm/hot soapy water be adequate or would something a bit stronger be need (IPA?acetone?) or would they attack the plastic? One last thing, does anybody know where i could source spare parts? atleast a new ring, and possibly a new feed/pointed at part haha.

Any information or advice offered would be much appreciated :)

Cheers,

Josh.

Sorry, I know nothing about that model.  But you might have a look at the article about them on parkercollector.com (which is my go-to site for all things "Parker pens").  The amount of information that Tony Fischier has on that site is ASTOUNDING.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

The hood is threaded and shellaced. I find soaking hood in a hot bath of 160f or 70c water will normally do the trick but may need a couple of attempts. No idea about spares, look out for a damaged 17 doner pen.
