Vac 700R rubber at end of piston fallen off

The rubber on the end of the piston has fallen off.  It keeps falling off after reattaching.  

I have emailed TWSBI for their advice.  But thought I'd ask here as well.

 

I probably should have greased it a bit more than I have.  

Should I try to obtain a new rubber.  Or should I glue it to the piston?

 

Or something else?

I seem to have fixed it.  The rubber stays on now.  I'll just grease it and hopefully that should be that.

Your solution is the best one. The worst, in any pen, is to use glue to join something that was not designed to need it.
