Trouble finding right-size refills for repurposed filofax

Hello everybody

 

I used a filofax many years ago at uni and got the hopefully not idiotic idea to repurpose it as a refillable notebook. It's an old Dundee from which I've removed the metal spine and rings.

 

 

I saw this old thread which has done something similar but added elastic straps for inserts. I would wish instead to use one thicker insert with mine. My idea is to insert its covers under the left flap and a new slit which I've cut on the right-hand side. The trouble I'm facing is finding an insert which fits. The ideal size would be 17cm tall and a maximum of 26cm when folded open. Does anyone know of inserts that might fit?

  I’m a bit busy with Thanksgiving prep, so I can do the legwork for you, but try taking a look at international paper sizes and seeing which ones are closest to the measurements you need. Also if you decide you still want to use it but can’t find something that fits, Good Inkpressions makes Tomoe River Filofax inserts.
