All my other conical nibs, of which I have about thirty on different model piston fillers are masked. I was wondering about the frequency of occurrence of such all-gold conical Lifetime nibs, and if there is any significance of finding one on this pen.

Any information would be appreciated.

The result of an over-enthusiastic cleaning with a polishing cloth? Is there a platinum mask visible on the underside of the nib?

Sorry the underside of the nib is so dirty, but I'd say there is no sign of masking. What do you think? Wish I'd thought of that myself!
