Nowadays, thanks to foruns, blogs and Youtube channels, checking the alignment of the tines is the easiest thing in the world. All you need is a magnifying glass of at least 10x magnification and the right focus.

The point is, I know perfectly well how to do this (and I've done it countless times, smoothed nibs with MIcromesh / blotting paper / nail files etc.) - I have strong magnifying glasses specifically for that purpose etc.

It's just that I shouldn't have to bother with, and I think at this price point, I won't. I have enough good pens as it is not to put up with this.

Honestly, I would have bet you knew how to do it.
What I don't understand is that you don't have the curiosity to take the magnifying glass and check if the tines are indeed misaligned.
You say: "Turns out, the tines seem slightly misaligned, and it's got a scratchy feel on paper in some directions", so you are not sure that this is the case.

But you also do the test dry, without inking the pen. I have seen videos of the quality department of several brands, they always test the pen with ink. The same goes for master nibs. You should know that the experience changes a lot depending on the paper or ink. A nib that has a lot of feedback with a paper or ink, can become silky when you change them.

It doesn't seem honest to me that you accuse Kaweco of quality control problems without being completely sure that the pen is defective.

It's not that it's defective, and I testet it - I just don't want to meddle with a pen I'm not sure I want to keep. I don't want to ink it up because if I return it, I want them to have an unused product they can resell without any trouble.

I don't want to derail this thread, and just to be clear - I do like Kaweo very much (I have several Sports, a Dia FP, pencils etc., and this will certainly not be the last pen from them that I'll buy).

Search for how to add photos by creating albums, and then you can add more. That is, unless you’ve used all your album space up.

@ Misfit: Thank you for your help! In fact I really seem to have used all my album space. I am going to check if I can delete some pictures of older pen reviews.

Now the matter is very clear and I fully understand your reasons. 😉

That seems unlikely to me. You have 90 posts. Have you posted 1000 photos?

Here is the post that explains a gallery for albums that can hold 100 photos each:

This has put the piston filler on my list for gifts for myself for beginning a new job tomorrow. Thank you for the detail and pictures!
