Yep, I first read Asterix in English (Asterix in Briton, was a favorite) the translation superb.  I was more intrigued by the grilled boar banquet at the end. Though, I discovered that historically it was a favorite food for the Romans and not the Gallic people.

I just looked at this thread again, and was looking at the writing sample.  And on my screen, the color looks like the color of my purple Pilot Falcon (maybe a bit lighter in color, but similar otherwise).

And this was how from the Efnir series, a comic book, a children's book, an animation series/movie and soon coming a live action version was created
