Pilot Con-W or short double cartridge source?

Hi folks,

i just picked up a vintage Pilot E full size pen. From what I can tell it’s from late 1960’s - comes with the cartridge protector but sadly no cartridge or converter (looks like the funky CON-W).

would anyone happen to know where I might be able to source one of these? More than willing to refill empty cartridges if that’s the only option - I’ve had little to no luck so far.

many thanks!

On a never ending quest for the 'perfect' pen, ink, paper combo... Then again where would the fun be in finding perfection!!

You meant you've had little to no luck on refilling cartridge?

Btw are you The Pen Addict, or you are a pen addict?

Oops - I meant no luck on finding a short cartridge or con-w converter!

Just a humble pen addict over here…

CON-W can be installed with repair support. You have to send the pen to the Pilot service department in Japan, but it is available.

I have a double spare cartridge, but the shipping cost is much higher from here.

Considering that, it would be better to send the pen and have a converter installed.

Try contacting your local Pilot customer receptionist. From what I have heard so far, you only have to pay the domestic shipping costs in your country.(Regarding shipping costs.)

I think the cost of installing the converter was 2200JPY and the cost of parts(CON-W).
