KWZ Shimmering Inks

I'm surprised these aren't more popular.  I've been less than impressed w/ most shimmering inks performance.  If you're signing Christmas cards it looks nice, but in a journal, I tend to get shimmer for a sentence, then nothing for 2, then a lot of shimmer in the first letter...

It is a pain rolling the pen every other line, so perhaps it's user error.

However, I've been really impressed w/ their stardust blue and fields of green (sample).  I actually ended up buying all 4 of their colors.  Even with the bottle I can tell that the KWZ shimmer is dissolved much longer vs. other inks where it seems like 10-15 seconds and it starts settling at the bottom.

As for writing, there are no issues whatsoever.  The ink flows reliably and more importantly it seems like the shimmer goes over the whole page.  It sort of looks like metallic ink.  I don't have to interrupt my thinking to shake the pen once I start writing!

I think the KWZ people are chemists?  These inks btw do not have a vanilla scent.  I guess they figured a way to make the shimmer fall into suspension much more reliably?

Are there any other shimmering inks which have a similar performance.  (unfortunately KWZ does not have a black ink w/ shimmer...)

This is an interesting recommendation. Like you, I am not the biggest fan of shimmering inks, and will only use them in my cheap pens that I can easily disassemble. But your description seems to suggest that KWZ has addressed some of the drawbacks of many shimmer inks.

I believe so but Im always aware there could be some negative like an unexpected reaction.  As a nerd, I am also interested in how they did it?  Why other companies dont do the same?

this review is actually a few days ago of an ink from same series and they seem to notice the same things.

i havent tried the red yet.
I guess the bottles are not the best to keep filling unless you use a syringe or ink miser after halfway.
