How to remove print from a plastic pen

I have a Kaweco x Moleskine pen, which is really just a Perkeo with a gold-colour nib and finial. It's pretty and writes well, I like it very much  except... the print on it. I would like to remove it. (The other side of the cap has 'Kaweco' embossed - very subtle, very nice.)

It's not foiled, but printed on - pad printed, I believe, and that maybe would use acetone as solvent. That may not play well with the plastic? Not sure.

Polish it off? The finish seems to be matte and I worry it may leave a shiny patch.

Any suggestions?

Oops, forgot the picture. Sorry have a cold and brain not functioning.

Hi, if it is not heat stamped but printed then I would expect it to be removable with a polishing compound. If you are worried about polishing affecting the matte finish, you could try it out on the inside of the cap or barrel (i.e. with a cotton swab). Polishing may remove the gold print, but there is a chance that a shadow of the letters may remain vaguely visible. I would not use aceton on these plastic parts.

Thankyou!

Polishing compound worked well. There's a tiny shadow that would only be found by someone knowing it was there to look for.
